Hi, My name is Abbie and I am the owner of Pet Hero. I have always had a passion for animals and have owned many over the years, from hamsters to horses, rabbits to dogs. I have always found looking after animals a way to relax. Being surrounded by creatures that live in the present and enjoy every moment has taught me to try and do the same. My current dog Bella lives life to the fullest, she enjoys every moment and brightens my day without even trying. 

 

As a qualified primary school teacher I felt as though my life was becoming a cycle that I was not enjoying. I felt burnt out, stuck in a classroom feeling overwhelmed everyday and stuck with a never ending to do list. It was only when I went to walk Bella (come rain or shine!) that I realised this is where I was my happiest. Whilst I was at work Bella was at home and I did not have the time or energy to take her for the walks she deserved during my teaching career. It was time to make a change both for myself and for Bella. 

 

That is why I took the step to set up Pet Hero, to start a life I look forward to everyday. I am dedicated to providing the best care for your furry family members, big or small. I have undertaken several qualifications and believe it is important to keep these up to date and continue to add to them for my own professional development as well as ensure both you and your pets receive the best service. I am committed to being flexible to suit your needs. Having been a primary school teacher I am able to transfer lots of skills to Pet Hero that benefit both you and your pet. Being adaptable, organised, professional and caring are just some skills I believe I can provide to you and your pet.

In the future, I would like to be able to give a percentage of each sale to an animal charity to provide opportunities for animals who deserve a great life. The Hero forum and social media pages are a start to this and I hope one day it will grow to the point where I can give back to the animals who deserve it.
